  1. Some of these videos are so misleading. This is a joke. Even if a phone is stolen the only way to get the info out of it is to know the password or do some serious government level hacking. Remember it took months for the FBI to finally open an iphone. You can't just hack a phone by plugging it into a "programmed" USB.

  2. Since there is such a big difference in the number of items inside the fake vs a real Apple, can we measure their weights on a postal scale to identify the real charger cube?

  3. I personally don’t charge my newer iPhones from the wall I always use battery packs this is because I’ve had batteries get fried by power outages but I suppose this would also stop the cyber criminals to I charge for battery packs and battery cases and my car and that’s it.

  4. Best thing is the good old fashioned power chargers that come with the phone. Much safer and works with voltages all around the world(*if it's rated. Check your charger before plunking it in some outlet*)

  5. Every time I’m about to go to the airport I try to make sure my Samsung S9 is always about 70% charge and bring portable chargers I don’t even remember using a airport charge station

  6. It's called buy a Mophie and like they said stop posting every step you take on social media. That's one of the dumbest things people do!!

  7. Contrary to this psa, specifically in airports, it is very unlikely that someone would be unnoticed in installing such a data stealing device in an airport setting. Or on a plane. These areas are highly monitored and restricted, most common usb charging recipticals are hard to take apart and solder on a data stealing device anyways. Usb charging station by default only have the leads for power and not data. This being said, if you want to be 100% sure that your data is safe from the alleged hacks, stay up to date on device software and hardware, and use charging only cables for your device (these are cables that only have power in and power out leads on them).

  8. I admit I have fallen into that trap on occasion…but I will carry my own power cord and bank from now on. Remember "Charlie" is always watching.

  9. It's still need to use it. But you need to use USB until you need to use need anthoer new thing.
For expamle, to send program to the .img for limbo on 2020. You must use USB.
At 2025. I'm will complete the limbo pc img download. Just beacuse i'm don't have an laptop and the own server.

  10. Smartphone manufacturers don't really give us much of a choice, since they are more concerned with thinness than giving us usable battery life

  11. Are use something that is called the USB bug it has two USB ports you could plug into one port has it you could do transfer data the other port does not transfer data but it is used to measure current draw and voltage from a USB port

  12. It's the airport WIFI that you have to be careful. Connecting to a spoofed WIFI SSID and your security is then compromised.

  13. What I'm confused with this video is that it doesn't even explain how these public USB charger ports can be hacked by software if they are hard wired to deliver power rather than data. Not all USB ports are necessarily designed for data transmission. I can understand the risk of encountering a USB cord left connected to the public charger port, but I don't understand how a power only USB port in a public place can be a problem.

  14. I've never used a public USB spot. I just bring my own power bank – completely charged and charge my phone. Safe, and easy 😀

  15. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱! 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗿

  16. I will never charged my phone there because my phone battery never runs out of juice (4000mah battery)……….:)

  17. i never saw a usb outlet at an airport, only regular wall out lets. Can hackers hack electricity now? How would that even be possible?

  18. Use a cable that doesn’t have data capabilities they have some that has only positive and negative for a charge🧐

  19. they have no things to steal to me
    1) i don't have pictures, credit card on phone (my pictures is on my laptop)
    2) i am a kid so I don't have credit card and i am not going airport

  20. In other words, never use any electrical device ever, for any reason whatsoever, never post anything on the Internet and never ever leave your home. Don't switch on any phones, laptops or TVs and never charge anything from any type of socket. If you are are reading this comment, all your devices, accounts and data may already be compromised!

  21. I turned data transfer as default for 7years already and I have separate cables for charging and data transfer.

  22. U can also use a battery pack as a blocker …battery pack to the wall n phone in it ….no data can be transferred

  23. I don't use public charging stations. I wait till I 2 where ever I'm going & use thier hotspots. I also carry a wall charger & the longest cable I can buy.
