How to Mount Your Radar Detector to Your Motorcycle

Are you a spirited motorcycle rider who enjoys
the freedom of the open road? If you are then you know the importance of
having a high performance radar detector which is capable of warning you miles in advance
of approaching speed traps. And to maintain this high level of performance,
you will need to properly accessorize your radar detector for motorcycle use. Because of this I have put together this page
and video to walk you through the process. The first step is selecting a motorcycle mounting
system for your bike. Our handlebar mounting system is our most
popular and we have two sizes. Our first is our universal handlebar mount
which fits handlebars from 7/8″ of an inch to a 1 ¼” which are available in either chrome
or black. And then for our larger sized handlebars we
have our 1.5″ to 1.75″ and this larger size is only available in black Our second most popular is our control mount
system, which enable you to mount your radar detector to the handlebar control clamps either
on the clutch or brake side. Next we have our mirror mounts for which will
enable you to mount your personal device to the unused mirror hole on your Harley Davidson,
Honda, BMW, Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles. Then our most popular mounting system for
our sport bike family is our stem mounting system, which takes advantage of the unused
stem hole of the fork tube. And next we have our fork tube mounting systems,
which will attach to the fork tube on the triple clamp on many sport bikes. Then for our Harley Ultra riders we have our
Bat-Wing fairing mount, which will enable you to mount your radar detector to either
the left or right side on pre 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycles. Then for our Can-Am Spyder riders we have
our center mount, which enables the mounting of your detector in the center of the handlebars
just under the ignition switch. Now one huge benefits our Techmount GEN4 mounting
systems is the ability to quickly swap out your radar detector and attach your cellphone,
GPS, video camera or virtually any other device from your motorcycle by simply unscrewing
your adapter and replacing it with another. Next on your motorcycle radar detector accessory
list should be Legal Speeding’s Helmet Assisted Radar Detection (H.A.R.D.) heads up display. The HARD system is a two-piece wireless system
that attaches to your Escort, Beltronics or Valentine 1 detector, which then sends a signal
to a small LED light that is mounted on your helmet to alert you. If you should have any questions about our
